About Karreekloof Safari lodge
Karreekloof Safari Lodge is a magnificent private game reserve with a rich history that makes use of ethical game conservation. It is situated in the typical semi-desert of the Karoo in the Northern Cape Province, where the sky seems infinite and the horizon seems to go on without end. Quiet, peaceful and full of character.
The Lodge offers a variety of stylish accommodation, which includes seven en-suites rooms, two family units, one unit with two rooms and one unit with three rooms.
It is the ideal halfway stop between Cape Town and Johannesburg on the N12. And 35 km outside a small town called Strydenburg. With the luxury of having an airstrip on Karreekloof, our guests can fly directly from any Airport where we will be ready to give them a warm welcome.
The Karreekloof area spans over 112 000 acres of land with a big variety of fauna and flora. One can see an abundance of buffalo, giraffes, impala, kudus and many more plains game.
The lodge offers you a complete relaxation time away from the city life. There are game drives or long walks where you will get to see a variety of different animals. There are spectacular sunsets that light up the sky. You will also be spoiled in the evenings with an amazing view of the stars. Visitors can enjoy canoeing and river rafting on the Orange River not far from Karreekloof.
Karreekloof Safari Lodge is one of the biggest game reserves in the Northern Cape and ideal break away for the family.
Karreekloof will enchant any nature lover. Various wild animals walk in the Karoo veld with its unique flora that surrounds them.
